How pet parents opt in to text messages from their veterinary practice, sent through Fetcher.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Pet parents opt in on a web form, never by keyword. When you book a visit through your veterinary practice's online booking page, or create a Fetcher pet-parent account, you enter your mobile number and see a separate "Text me about my visits" checkbox. The box is unchecked by default and is optional: leaving it unchecked never blocks your booking or account. Only ticking it gives consent, and we record the date and time you did.
This is the exact disclosure shown next to the checkbox:
☐ Text me about my visits (optional). By checking this box, I agree to receive appointment and visit text messages (booking confirmations, reminders, "vet on the way" updates, follow-ups) from [your veterinary practice] sent through Fetcher at the phone number above. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms of service · Privacy policy
